Kevin Costner, or someone in "Field of Dreams", said and kept repeating "If you build it they will come." Costner then went on to prove them right.

Many people applied this theory to the Internet. They built websites and waited for "them" to come. And it may have worked in exactly the way it worked for Kevin Costner. They may have all sorts of dead baseball players coming to their sites. Unfortunately, it is our experience that dead ball players don't often buy things on the web, or anywhere else for that matter.

So, if you want real people and not ghosts coming to your site we recommend putting together an active marketing plan and the first step in a good marketing plan is to know what you're marketing.

In this case we're not talking about the products your company produces, we're talking about your website. Is it a good site? Well designed? Something you'd be proud to market?
